What are Wushu After School Programs?

The U.S. Wushu Center works with a group of local elementary schools to offer wushu (kung fu) training to students who would like to participate and learn Chinese martial arts. We call the program Wushu After School.

Where are the classes held?

For some of the participating schools, classes are held at the school… for others, classes are held at the U.S. Wushu Center in NW Portland.

How do the children get to U.S. Wushu Center?

A driver from the U.S. Wushu Center will pick your children up at their school and bring them to our Center. We provide the school with the documentation they require for safety purposes.

What schools participate in this program?

Currently, there are six participating schools: Woodstock, Chapman, Forest Park, Childpeace Montessori, Oregon Episcopal School, and The International School.

How do I get my school involved?

If your school is not currently participating in the Wushu After School program, you can contact U.S. Wushu and find out how to get your school involved. The phone number is 503-227-3738, or you can email uswushu@gmail.com.
